Compliance & Event Ownership Configuration Settings

There are many ways to configure a dispenser, all of which impact the compliance calculations you may see in your organization. If you find that a record should be changed, please contact Support.  We’re happy to help!

Modules

  • Only the Entry & Exit Compliance module enables compliance monitoring.
  • Compliance monitoring is established at the organization level.  Child organizations may or may not have the same modules enabled as the parent.
  • You may see this in your Organization tab as Access Level:
    • Access Level Advanced contains the Entry & Exit Compliance module
    • Access Levels Basic β€‹and Classic β€‹do not

Organizations

  • Entry & Exit Compliance Durations are established at the organization level.  This allows your organization to determine the "window" by which hygiene events are considered compliant.
    • If the Compliance Duration is set at 60 seconds, then hygiene events captured 60 seconds before or after a room entry/exit are considered compliant.
    • This is intended to provide a reasonable window for a user to, for example, sanitize in a hallway or wash their hands before approaching the point of care.

Groups

  • Groups can be configured to capture compliance at "room" entry, exit, or both.
    •  This can be helpful when establishing compliance programs for soiled utility rooms, for example, where only compliance at exit is required

Dispensers

  • Dispensers can be provisioned to capture tag information via two different Scan Parameters:
    • Events Only - only when an event has taken place, or
    • Motion + Eventsto scan for motion detection, i.e., when a user is approaching the point-of-care

    • Dispensers have been calibrated to report only those tags which meet or exceed a threshold of proximity relevant to hygiene management. Tags which are "seen" by a dispenser but are outside of the threshold - because they are on the other side of the room, for example - are not included in compliance algorithms.
  • Dispensers should be provisioned with the appropriate Hardware Configuration to see the tags:
    • Both Wi-Fi and BLE are required for the dispensers to see tags in all applicable modules (Classic, Advanced)
